Where is La Ruette?
La Ruette is nestled in the heart of the Vendée, in the Achards countryside. Only a pebble's throw from the Atlantic seaside, it is in a central position to explore the region's varied landscapes (from Noirmoutier to the Poitvin marshes), its cultural heritage (such as Le Logis de la Chabotterie) as well as its most popular attraction, le Puy-du-Fou, or the famous Sables d'Olonne, start of the worldwide Vendée Globe sailing race.
What can you expect at La Ruette?
Well peace and quiet first of all. La Ruette takes its name from the small hamlet it is situated in. Here you will be able to forget about the hustle and bustle of city life, discover unspoilt nature, wildlife and amazing starry skies.
With a surfing beach only 15kms away (Brétignolles),
a well-stocked lake nearby, various cycling circuits
all around and a walking trail literally on
the doorstep, there are plenty of sporting
activities to be enjoyed.
The nearby town of Coex will also keep golf and
